Accounts Clerk

We are looking for a skilled Accounts Clerk to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks in our organization

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
  • Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
  • Provide assistance and support to company personnel
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Compile reports/summaries on activity areas
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
  • Other tasks and duties as deemed necessary by the organization

Requirements

  • Must have minimum of HND or BSc degree in Accounting or similar discipline
  • Possess at least one year working experience posting and reconciling general ledger
  • Must be computer literate
  • Aptitude for numbers, Accuracy and Attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Must be polite, smart and neat
  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
